Octopus nails with a bit of my Sonoma Nail Art indie polish, called 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea! Read more on my blog.
“Eins…Zwei…Drei!” Telephone Part Four: Here’s my fourth and final design for the Telephone video! The themes in this video rely heavily on both feminism, as well as a suggested relationship between Gaga and her collaborator, Beyonce. We can’t very well showcase this video without representing Honey Bey, now can we?
Colors & Materials Used: Base coat of white, taped-off sections of You’re S-Teal The One blue (Nicole by OPI), followed by more taped sections of Red Carpet (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear). The striping took so long that I didn’t want to muck the the design by trying to free-hand the stars, so, the stars are nail art stickers which I painted white prior to applying. Clear and pink rhinestones, along with half pearls and jewelry chain were added to the accent nail.
I actually wore these for a full week with the chains on. As long as you put them on the ring finger (which you use the least) of your non-dominate hand, they aren’t nearly as annoying as they look! (I did, however, end up popping off the two shortest chains on either side, since they kept getting stuck up underneath the nail and actually ended up being more annoying than the long pieces. Who knew, right?)

This hot mess is what happens when you finish doing everything you need to for the day, you are bored as hell, and curiosity gets the best of you.
For the record it was easy to take off because it never dried in the slightest. And yes I realize some people might think this is a waste. And it it sort of is. But it’s not an everyday thing (although it clearly should be) and I have so many polishes that a lot of these wont even see the light of day for the next 8 months. A thin coat on 4 fingers really isn’t that big a deal for me.
Oh and don’t forget about our Chanel Peridot giveaway! (We have to balance stuff like this out with a bit of class :P)
The girls from The Beauty Department show you a DIY manicure inspired by the Madison T.
Hand Model Mom is going on a cruise soon, so she asked me to give her a Gelish manicure so she doesn’t have to worry about chips until she comes back home again. We chose a nautical theme that wasn’t too out there in case she decides to go to the dressier dinners, but still fun enough for her to feel like she’s got proper nail art on her fingers.
